Send the FatturaPA

The file having been prepared, signed and named following the rules provided for, can now be sent to the Exchange System.
Four different transmission channels are envisaged to send a file:

Sending by Certified Electronic Mail (CEM)

Certified Electronic Mail (CEM, PEC in italian) is an electronic mail system which:

  • guarantees that messages and any attached documents are sent and received,
  • attests, with legal validity, that messages have been sent and received in the same way as a registered letter with recorded delivery.

Anyone with a Certified Electronic Mailbox may send CEM.
To request a CEM mailbox, contact one of the providers found in the public list of Certified Electronic Mail provider published on the DigitPA website.

Use of the CEM channel does not presuppose any kind of prior accreditation with the Exchange System.

FatturaPA files and archive files must be sent as attachments to the CEM message.

The CEM address to which to allocate the file is: sdi01@pec.fatturapa.it.

The message, including its attachment, must not be larger than 30 megabytes. If this size limit is not observed, transmission cannot be guaranteed.

Subjects using the CEM channel will receive, in the CEM mailbox from which they made the transmission, the message files produced by the ES relating to their transmission.

NB: with the first reply, error notice or delivery receipt message, the System communicates the CEM address to the transmitter to be used for any subsequent transmissions.
The use of a different CEM address from the one assigned by the ES does not guarantee that the FatturaPA file will be successfully received.
